  If you don't think your financial advisor will out right lie to you about the terms of investments he sells to you under contract, guess again. If you think you are in "good hands" with Allstate Financial Services like you are with Allstate Insurance, not so much. Customer service with Allstate Financial Services actually told me they don't care what the licensed advisor says to customers, they have a signed contract. My advisor, Thor Yarabek, told me my investment was beyond the surrender penalty time when I cashed out, but I was still whacked for almost $4200.00. Why??? Because each of the annual contributions I made carried an extra 7 years before they could be removed without penalty. Yes, this was an investment he sold me knowing that I intended to make annual contributions, and he never explained the actual terms, but did tell me after the 7 years I could remove all money without penalty. Even when I went in to discuss closing the account he said I would receive the whole amount. Mr. Thor Yarabek, you and I both know the truth about what you told me, but it was all verbal, so you got over on me with the help of Allstate Financial Services. I don't know how he benefited from this misrepresentation, but I know I lost, and it's a tough lesson to learn that the professional advisors you hire will flat out betray your trust.
